From the 2nd to the 28th of July, the seafood restaurant by Alain Ducasse, Le Rech, dedicates to London Olympic Games, a special Fish’n’chips. Of course, I tasted it!

I found the shape of their champagne glasses so beautiful, with the fizzing bubbles which dancing in the stem!

Gazpacho on a bed of ricotta cheese

3 small vegetable stuffed with cod brandade and summer truffle

Greek style vegetables with ewe’s curd cheese and fresh almonds

In the plate, is declined a crispy tempura of cod fillet, served with generous golden fresh fries. In accordance with tradition, a sheet of newspaper is shaped as a cone to serve the french fries.

A touch of freshness is adduced by the Chef, with mashed peas (french name this mashed « mousseline », it is so delightful) and cooked peas still inside their hulls. The famous tartare sauce, perfectly seasoned, combines fresh ginger, grated lime, Thai basil, lemongrass, bird’s eye chile, chili pepper, based on a rice wine reduction.

A gourmet note is suggested by the Chef, to close this experience : red fruit Pimm’s. This dessert is composed around an Earl grey tea jelly for the bottom, lemon marmelade and candied lemon zest coated thereon. Above, a crunchy biscuit toped with a vanilla cheesecake cream and fresh red fruits. A Pimm’s granita, typical english liquor, is served beside.

This chocolate eclair is just amazing! This is a perfect reason to come back. All dishes were great and taste good, but this eclair. Oh my gosh!! Greatest experience. 14€ for this wonder, but you will not regret to spend your money.

The ganache is light and not too sweet, really perfect!

I tried to enter into negociations with the great Eric Mercier, to go back home with the Chef Adrien Trouilloud, but without success 🙁

The Fish’n’Chips meal is proposed for lunch at 21 €, or 26 € with a glass of wine or a beer.
